Notes:

The original UK CD version contained the bonus tracks "Breathing In Fumes", "But Not Tonight (Extended Remix)" and "Black Day". These tracks can be found on the singles taken from the album.

The US pressings of "Black Celebration" featured a slightly different "Album Version" of "A Question Of Time". On the US pressings, the intro noise repeats twice.

The original US version of Black Celebration had the track "But Not Tonight" tacked onto the end of the album (the b side of "Stripped"). It is the UK Single Version.

The cover of the original US vinyl album had embossed images in the black spaces on the left and right, as well as under the titles on the back cover. Later pressings of the original vinyl version simply eliminated the embossed images, choosing instead to print them on the sleeve in grey.

In 2007, the album was completely remastered, and released in two different formats (SACD + DVD, and LP in Europe, CD + DVD, and LP in North America). The SACD + DVD version featured the album in a remastered 5.1 surround sound presentation, on the SACD disc. The CD + DVD version featured the album in a remastered 5.1 surround sound presentation on the DVD disc. The CD and LP were remastered stereo audio. The US edition of the remastered CD was not a SACD. Only the European release was in SACD format. The US DVD is a standard DVD, not a specific DVD-Audio disc.

On April 1st, 2024, Depeche Mode parted ways with Rhino Records in North America. As Sony is now the global label, specific North American LPs and CDs of the catalog had to be created. Starting in 2025, "Mute / Columbia" pressings of the albums were released. These albums use the same existing masters as previous releases, including the core ten "2006-7 Remasters".
