This is the "A Concert For The Masses" broadcast. KROQ was broadcasting live from the Rose Bowl the entire day. This consists of on stage introductions, interviews with all the acts on the bill (Wire, Thomas Dolby, O.M.D. and Depeche Mode), and the KROQ DJ's. This broadcast gives an alternate perspective to this show, which would become the "101" show. It was also the 10th Birthday Concert for KROQ. DJ's and KROQ staff heard on this broadcast include Richard Blade, Jed The Fish, Ramondo, Swedish Egil, Doc On The Roq, Lewis Largent, Rodney Bingenheimer, Dusty Street, Scott Mason and the late Rick Carroll (the then-program director of KROQ).

Richard, though, had already left the station, so Tami Heidi (another KROQ jock) gave Richard's home phone number to David. David got Richard's answering machine. Richard then went and broadcast the answering machine tape on the air.

Richard Blade interviewed David Gahan backstage at the 1995 KROQ Acoustic Christmas. David was not performing. He was just there for the show, hanging with Oasis. David discussed the upcoming Ultra album, and thanked the fans for sending him letters after "he did what he did". This interview was not broadcast until 1997. The profanity was "bleeped" out of the broadcast version. This version contains the profanity.

KROQ had their listeners vote via their web site on who the listeners\' favorite band of all time was. After counting more than 75,000 votes, Depeche Mode was declared the "Number One KROQ Band Of All Time". This sound file is the announcement of that fact.

On Tuesday, October 3rd, 2000, Guy Oseary was a guest DJ on KROQ-FM in Los Angeles. Guy, a partner at Maverick Records in Los Angeles, had a birthday wish to be DJ for a day. KROQ granted his wish, letting him take over the station during the Flashback Lunch (taking over for Tami Heidi, who was helping him out). Along with picking the music, he also interviewed celebrities like Curt Smith (Tears For Fears), Billy Idol, and Mike D. (Beastie Boys) on the phone. His in studio co-host was Anthony Kiedis from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The last person he did a phone interview with was David Gahan. In the recording you will hear Guy and Anthony interview David about the progress of the new Depeche Mode album.
