Notes:

"Surrender" (Catalan FC Out Of Reach Mix) = "Surrender" (FC Catalan Out Of Reach Mix). "Only When I Lose Myself" (Gus Gus Mix), from the UK PL12 promotional release = "Only When I Lose Myself" (Gus Gus Long Play Mix).

A few years after the initial single release, the remix team "Lexicon Avenue" crafted a homemade remix of "Only When I Lose Myself", using the incomplete acapella track found on the US promotional CD-R "Josh Abraham" mixes. Like most people trying to get their mixes exposed, they sent a copy to Mute UK. Mute then went and made a very limited pressing CD-R, just for the band and 'in-house' use. The remix has yet to be released officially, but fans have acquired copies of this CD-R

While the 12 inch and CD single promo's of this release feature common mixes, it is the US CD Recordable (CD-R) promo's that are of interest to collectors.

CD Recordable #1 - This was the first disc pressed up. It was pressed in such a hurry that Reprise accidentally used the title "Tempt" for the song "Surrender" ("Tempt" was the working title).
CD Recordable #2 - Another BRAT Edit. This time the edit was of the Gus Gus mix.
CD Recordable #3 - This recordable was released a few weeks after the real CD single (silver CD) release. It features two exclusive remixes done by Josh Abraham (producer of Orgy, among others). The disc has been heavily pirated.
CD Recordable #4 - An in-house Reprise Records disc. This is basically a CD-R copy of Josh Abraham's 1/2" master tape. It features an unreleased "Instrumental" version, as well as a pure "Acapella" (a first for a Depeche Mode release). The other six tracks on the disc are variations on the full Josh Abraham Remix.

It should be noted that some later pressings of the promotional 12 inch single came in a plain sleeve (as opposed to the plain sleeve with sticker on the front). The CD-R singles were limited to around 25 pressings each.
